The dreams of Jawaharlal Nehru and Amrit Kaur and the recommendations of the Bhore Committee converged to create a proposal which found favor with a generous grant from New Zealand under the Colombo Plan made it possible to lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in 1952. The AIIMS was finally created in 1956, as an autonomous institution through an Act of Parliament. The institute aims at providing high standard of medical education and is an institution of national importance.
The AIIMS 2021 conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Science institution, New Delhi. AIIMS is the national Level Entrance test which is organized every year. AIIMS Exam done through NEET 2021. The NEET examination will only be the national level Medical entrance for allocation of MBBS seats across India from 2020-2021. The AIIMS and JIPMER examinations that are conducted along with NEET for providing Medical seats till date are cancelled as per the instructions from central government.
